All Church Prayer
All Church Prayer is a tri-annual gathering for our church family to seek God through prayer together.
Where: Urbana FUMC (304 S Race St, Urbana)
When: Wed 3/20 from 6:30 - 8:00p
Children are welcome and encouraged to come and participate. This is a great opportunity for them to pray with their parents and church family.
Good Friday Service
Our Good Friday service will be held at Urbana FUMC (304 S Race St, Urbana) on 3/29 @ 7pm
Newcomer Brunch
New or new-ish to Christ Community? You are invited to a Newcomer Brunch at the Coady's home following the Renewal Gathering on March 24. RSVP Here
Hospitality Sunday March 24
Sign up to host or attend a lunch after church (with around 5-8 adults) fellowshipping over a meal and connecting with others from Christ Community on March 24.
Pine Collective Lunch
Pine Collective is a place of belonging for individuals and families impacted by disability. We will gather once a month for lunch + fellowship to be renewed in God's purposeful plan for our uniquely designed lives. We want to be a place that acknowledges suffering and embraces God's goodness, a place that helps strengthen our church as a place of belonging for all people.
If you, your family, or someone you care for are affected by disability, please join us for an hour over lunch on March 24. Register today. Contact jessica.etheridge@cru.org with any questions.
5th Sunday
Sunday, March 24th has been scheduled as our ‘5th Sunday of the month’ since the true 5th Sunday of March falls on Easter. On 5th Sundays we close the preschool and elementary CCKids classes. Instead, these children will attend the worship service with the rest of the church. We will have “sermon note sheets” and crayons available for kids. Please feel free to bring any other items you may want to have during the service. Our Infant and Toddler rooms will still be open as normal. All rooms will be open on March 31st, Easter Sunday.
We believe there is great value in the age-appropriate, gospel-centered Bible lessons taught by the fantastic teachers who serve in CCKids, and we also believe there is great value in children worshipping with their parents and observing their parents worship along with the whole church. These 5th Sundays provide a great regular rhythm to do just that.
Palm Sunday
On March 24th, Palm Sunday, children of all ages will be invited to worship Jesus our King through a palm processional during the first worship song of the service. More details to come next week!
Men's Service Event
On Saturday April 27 from Noon to 2:00 PM we will host a Men's service event at Merci's Refuge and the Pregnancy Research Center (PRC) in Champaign. We will serve these ministries through tree trimming, brush removal, window washing, touch up painting, and maybe even some minor electrical and plumbing. More info to follow.
Secret Church
Radical’s Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that happens annually. This year, on April 19, we will gather to take a deep-dive into the book of Ruth, pray for the persecuted church in North Korea, and be challenged to live on mission with other believers! Cost is $13 or, if cost is restrictive, scholarships are available. Register today on the Event Calendar. Contact Kendall Koe with any questions 15koek@gmail.com
