This is a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, neighbors, coworkers, or family to experience the community at Christ Community. We'll enjoy a Chick-fil-A lunch and other treats, along with bounce houses and outdoor activities for kids, lawn games, and plenty of space both inside and outside to relax, connect, and catch up with one another. We hope you'll make plans to join us and invite someone to come along!

CC Kids Promotion Sunday
With the start of the school year approaching, we will be promoting our grade level students on Sunday, Aug. 16th to the next grade. For some children this involves a change in classroom (i.e. incoming 2nd graders move up to the 2nd-3rd grade class). There may be some shifting in the younger kids classrooms  (the Blue and Red classrooms) to evenly distribute the children. If you have any questions about what class your child will be in on Aug. 16th, please feel free to reach out to Pam Froelich. pam@christcommunitycu.com.

We love partnering with you and pouring into your children especially while they are in CC Kids To help us respect the time of our wonderful volunteers, please head over to CC Kids to pick up your little ones promptly after the renewal gathering concludes. We appreciate your help and support so much!

Members Meeting
Join us at our members meeting Wednesday, August 26th at 5:30 at our building. We will have childcare and a meal provided. Register below:

Midweek Manna, Elders & Staff Edition. This week from Matt:

I have been working for over 20 years in the marketplace and I am still scratching the surface to figure out what it means to work for Christ.  Along the way, I have found abundant redemption through Christ at my job in seeing how His grace transforms my self-centered notions of work and puts me on a path for more purpose and joy in how I work.  There have been numerous resources that have been an encouragement for me on the journey to "work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men" (Colossians 3:23).  Here are a couple specific books that may be helpful as you pursue the Lord in whatever vocation He has for you in your current season:

The Gospel at Work: How Working for King Jesus Gives Purpose and Meaning to Our Jobs, by Sebastian Traeger and Greg D. Gilbert
